The story of Metta Petroleum began in Singapore on 13 March 2014, when the company was incorporated as CREAFIN CAPITAL RESOURCES PTE. LTD.
Established with foundations in project finance, corporate advisory and commodities trading, the company developed its experience through engagement with businesses, project owners, investors and financial institutions across a range of markets and industries.
Over the years, this foundation provided valuable exposure to international business, financial structuring, commercial relationships and cross-border transactions — capabilities that would later support the company’s evolution into international energy and commodities trading.
OUR BEGINNINGS
CREAFIN Capital Resources was established as a Singapore-based boutique project finance and corporate advisory practice.
Its activities were supported by experience in project finance, capital markets, corporate advisory and investment-related transactions, with particular interest in infrastructure projects and opportunities within emerging and developing economies.
Through its network and professional relationships, CREAFIN developed an appreciation of both traditional and alternative sources of capital while working closely with project owners, business partners and other stakeholders.
These formative years established a foundation built upon commercial discipline, relationship development and an international outlook.
AN EVOLVING BUSINESS
As global markets evolved, so did the company.
Building upon its experience in commodities and international transactions, the business progressively expanded its focus towards the trading and commercial development of petroleum and refined energy products and selected commodities.
This evolution represented a natural progression — combining established commercial and financial experience with opportunities across international energy and commodities trading.
The transition also reflected a broader ambition: to build an energy business founded not simply on transactions, but on integrity, reliability, responsible enterprise and enduring relationships.

THE EVOLUTION OF METTA PETROLEUM
“The corporate history of Metta Petroleum began in Singapore on 13 March 2014, when the company was incorporated as CREAFIN CAPITAL RESOURCES PTE. LTD. On 23 July 2026, the company officially changed its name to METTA PETROLEUM PTE. LTD.”
The change marked an important new chapter in the company’s development and reflected its strategic focus on the petroleum and energy sector.
While the corporate identity evolved, the experience accumulated since 2014 remains part of the company’s foundation.
Metta Petroleum therefore represents both continuity and transformation — carrying forward years of commercial experience while developing a clearer identity for the future.
THE MEANING OF METTA
The name “Metta” originates from the Pali concept of loving-kindness, goodwill and benevolence towards others.
For Metta Petroleum, the name represents a broader philosophy of conducting business with integrity, respect, responsibility and consideration for the interests of our stakeholders.
It reflects our belief that commercial success and responsible enterprise can progress together.
